I will conclude with a slide of the only rose hybridized in Bermuda, the 'Queen of Bermuda' It is not widely grown. It was bred by Commander Bowie at his small nursery in Paget in 1956. A vigorous bush with glossy foliage, bronze when young, this rose produces oval buds, in small clusters, which open to vibrant orange-vermilion blooms. High-centred and double, it has a fruity fragrance. A Hybrid Tea.
