Creamy white, bushes have glossy green foliage and fragrant blooms. Waikato found it marks in the rain, but it has good form and scent and gives some good flowers. Marlborough finds it healthy and the blooms good for showing. Good repeat. Another Marlborough grower finds it marks in adverse weather. Nice foliage, North Otago has a small bush with large fragrant blooms and it is healthy. Central Taranaki has large fragrant blooms but the repeat is a bit slow. Southland bush is settling in well with some balling in the wet but a lovely perfume.

p92 Gerard Williams. Review of the Newer Roses for the 1998-1999 Season.
Land of the Long White Cloud (MAClanoflon); McGredy 1998; creamy white; 6 reports on 10 bushes; 1 year; 1.1 metre; 7.5 rating. Smaller bushes with glossy green foliage and fragrant blooms. A good number favourable reports for its first year. Northland say very small plants to start with and will take time (like its parents) to get going. Manawatu say it has few petals but has perfume like 'Aotearoa', they are disappointed to date. Bay of Plenty say lovely large stems in summer and it has good fragrance. Healthy but is a slow grower and has slow repeat. North Otago says the bush is small yet but the blooms are large, fragrant and creamy white in colour. Hutt Valley finds their bush healthy with good growth and the flowers well shaped. Gisborne like their bush with its glossy foliage and good texture to the blooms. We await further reports on this rose with interest.
