This one is disappearing quickly. Too bad. One of the easiest yellows to grow in a long time.

One of best yellow with excellent overall characteristics but not widely available in US. Luckily I found this in one of the nursery's junk section and now it's my treasure.

I do love the look of this rose, the clear yellow color. You say it's hardy, I'm in Southern CT, probably z6a but am hesitant about buying a rose where, here at www.helpmefind.com, it says 7 or higher. Your experience with this plant tells you it's hardier than this? -Thanks, Jim

Roses in KC
I've had it for several years in Zone 5b and I do not winter protect. The bush has done great. I say give it a try!

This rose and Elina are probably my two favorite yellow Hybrid Teas. Both are super hardy for me here in Des Moines, Iowa (zone 5b) and require little care. Aperitif is a little more yellow than Elina and with its healthy dark foliage tends to pop out amongst the other roses (I have it planted between S. Big Purple and Rina Hugo which is stunning when all three are in bloom). My bushes produce loads of blooms throught the spring, summer and and fall with very little rest between flushes. It could use a little more fragrance but I will still recommend this rose to anyone looking for a nice yellow rose.

JUL 2009 I saw APERITIF today at Pastorino's Nursery in Half MoonBay, CA. It was all that you described: nice shade of yeller. The plant is nice looking as well.
