Introduced in France by Roseraies Sauvageot in 1970 as 'Vaire'.

Dark red, deep yellow highlights.  Medium, double (17-25 petals), cupped, high-centered bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.

Bushy, upright.  Large, bronze-green, dense foliage.
