Origin:
Bred by Wilhelm J.H. Kordes II (1891-1976) (Germany, before 1943).
Introduced in Germany by W. Kordes' Söhne (Retail) in 1944 as 'Herzblut'.
Introduced in United Kingdom by Morse Roses in 1944 as 'Commonwealth'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1952 as 'Herzblut'.
Class:
Floribunda, Hybrid Polyantha.  
Bloom:
Crimson with white center.  None to mild fragrance.  10 petals.  Average diameter 3.5".  Medium to large, single to semi-double, cluster-flowered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Leathery foliage.  

Height: up to 1' (up to 30cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
