Blooming starts with yellowbuds which open into double, cream colored flowers that fade to white. The plant is very vigorous and may grow to as much as 25 feet

Against the hall itself are two Banksian roses, lutea and lutescens which have grown so large that they obscured the light from the upper windows and have had to be cut back drastically. This revealed an exciting discovery - a new rose now named 'Mannington Cascade' which was featured on Peter Beales' Gold Medal winning 1999 Chelsea stand.
