    Hi, I have my doubts, that Kiese would be pentaploid with Général Jaqueminont as mother. Quest-Ritson (RHS - Roses, 2003, DK) and various references give the parentage as R. canina x Général Jaqueminont, which is more logical, taking into account how caninas reproduce.

    I agree. Seed and pollen parents seem to have been juxtaposed.
