Joseph Pernet (Pernetiana) has coppery-salmon flowers of good shape, very large and double, borne upon long strong stems, which make them exceptionally good for cutting. Foliage is shiny dark green, and growth is vigorous, erect and bushy. Pernet-Ducher 1934...Fragrant...June-Sept. Hardy.

New Roses 1936.  Joseph Pernet d'Annemasse (Pernt. J. Gaujard  1934) 3.  Large semi-double blooms, carried on long strong stems.  The colour is vivid coppery salmon, which like of all of the type, varies considerably.  Vigorous, upright growth, with moderately healthy foliage. A.H.M.Mts.P.S.

Joseph Pernet d'Annemasse comes from Gaujaud, the successor to Mons. Pernet Ducher, and is a tall-growing, semi-double (twenty petals) coppery cerise. There is no perfume, and, taken generally, is not a particularly attractive colour and certainly not equal to 'Madame Nicolas Aussel'.

New Roses 1936.  Joseph Pernet d'Arremasse  (Pernt. J. Gaujard  1934) Large, double flower, carried on long, strong stem. Colour salmon copper similar to 'Madame Nicolas Aussel', but more vivid. 4/- each.
Extra tall grower, with flowers of 20 petals.  There is not as much copper colour as in 'Madame Nicolas Aussel'.  Good.

Deuxième Certificat de mérite Joseph Pernet, d’Annemasse, Pernetiana. Obtenteur, M. Jean Gaujard, à Feyzin. — Semis posthume de Pernet-Ducher, hybride de semis inédits.
Cette rose, comme « Maison Pernet-Ducher » a été mise au commerce en 1934, par les Etablissements Pernet-Ducher. En voici la description : « Fleur grande, pleine, pédoncule long et fort ; couleur saumon cuivré, comme « Madame Nicolas Aussel » (la Plus belle Rose de France 1931), mais plus vive ; la fleur épanouie conserve bien sa teinte. Végétation très érigée, feuillage vert bronzé très résistant ; sera très bonne pour la fleur coupée. »
