'Waimarie' Mattwai: Rich mauve pink semi rosette shaped flowers set in profusion above the reddish green foliage. A strong grower with a medium to tall bushy habit and good disease resistance. Bred from Aotearoa NZ, it has that all encompassing fragrance of its parents with a repetitive flowering. Height Medium.

'Waimarie' (MATTwai) Matthews 2000; 3 reports on 3 bushes; 1-2 years; 0.7 metres. 7.0 rating. Mauve pink flowers and reddish green foliage, tall bushy habit. North Taranaki feel this rose is different. Gisborne says the flowers are a nice colour but the bush takes black spot. North Otago has healthy foliage and lots of flowers.
