Jan Böhm, Blatná: Dvacet let československých růží, 1938, s. 32: ´Srdce Evropy´ Ground cover and climbing - Rosa Wichurana. (Jan Böhm 1937) Shoots up to several meters long, not trained ground cover, trained climbing, glossy leaves are very rich, numerous inflorescences, each flower is halfway carmine-pink, through the center of the flower turn in white. Each petal - heart shaped. Five petals symbolizes the heart of Europe - Czechoslovakia and its regions - Bohemia, Moravia, Silesia, Slovakia and Ruthenia. It blooms several weeks. Sometimes repeat flowering. Paretage: Rosa Wichurana x ´American Pillar´

This is a rambler according to Vintage Gardens website, and it's name translates to "Heart of Europe". The lower canes have a few small thorns.
