Origin:
Bred by Peter Lambert (Germany, before 1901). Introduced in Germany by Peter Lambert in 1903 as 'Frau Lilla Rautenstrauch'. Introduced in Australia by C. H. Halstead in 1904 as 'Frau Lilla Rautenstrauch'.
Bloom:
Orange-red - yellow, pink outer petals, white edges. Strong, spice fragrance. Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered, reflexed bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Long buds.
Habit:
Medium, bushy, well-branched. Large, leathery foliage.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Notes:
Probably dedicated to Lilla Bertha Deichmann (1842-1925), who in 1860 married Valentin Wilhelm Christian Rautenstrauch (April 8, 1832 Trier - October 19, 1864 Trier), a merchant, industrialist and poltician in Trier, Lambert's hometown.
