Re Raphaela’s June 8, 2014 blog photo and HelpMeFind 2014 reference,
I am not so sure the rose has been “replaced”. Apparently a volunteer administrator had added his own wording, albiet in brackets and italics, to the 1996 reference to read:
“Emanuel [One of the English Rose varieties that has been replaced.] Description... A truly superb rose with large, coluptuous blush pink flowers, shaded with gold at the base of the petals. There is no English Rose that combines such large blooms with so great a freedom of flowering... it suffered very badly from blackspot.”

I have corrected this 1996 reference to read exactly as David Austin quoted it.

Later edit:
I suspect the ‘Emanuel’ AUSuel synonym of ‘Emmanuelle‘ has come from Renato Emma’s posting of October 24, 2013 and is probably an Italian translation? If so, it needs to be deleted.

I suspect the ‘Crocus Rose’ AUSquest synonym of ‘Emmanuel’ has also come from the same source and needs to be deleted.

Maybe "replaced' is the wrong word, although Ms. Langenberg also mentions that in her 2014 blog. What probably had happened is that 'Emmanuel' was one of the roses Austin decided to suppress and no longer propagate. I remember that there was a large outcry several years ago because of that.
You will also find the synonym 'Emanuel' (with one m) for 'Crocus Rose' on many nursery websites in Europe. Should be retained.
