Reading the descriptions of Mrs. E. G. Hill, it doesn't sound like a match for the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden's "SU#12". The center is certainly not white, and the top of the petals is more a medium pink than the very pale pink in the descriptions. Also "SU#12" doesn't hold its blooms upright. The stem usually bends sideways, and sometimes droops downward.

Would you like us to open a new file for "SU#2"? Once it is opened you can add brief details in that rose's comments section and either you or I can transfer the photos.

I can't tell if they are the same rose, but I am stuck by a similarity with "SU#12" and an Australian foundling "Birte Venske's No. 13". Would you take a look at that rose please Tearose.

Yes, I think "SU #12" should have it's own entry. That would include all the pictures by mashamcl. I see the resemblance to the found rose you mentioned, as well as to some, but not all, Mrs. Henry Morse photos.

File opened for "SU #12" and two named photos reassigned to that page. Would you please move the other four photos?
I note that CybeRose has a 2010 photo of "SU #12" in the 'Jonkheer J. L. Mock' page and I have certainly considered that rose as an identity for my "Birte Venske No. 13" but the following three roses are not yet quite clear in my mind and I need to do more study:
1906 'Mrs. E. G. Hill' (Mme. Caroline Testout x Liberty)
1909 'Jonkheer J. L. Mock'. (Mme. Caroline Testout x Mme. Abel Chatenay)
1919 'Mrs. Henry Morse' (Mme. Abel Chatenay x Lady Pirie')

I can't move the photos, as they aren't mine. Thanks for starting the new page for SU#12. I agree all those roses are possibilities. Our Jonkeer J L Mock is different. So I don't think that one is a possibility.
