I am still proud of my two cultivars [Altmärker and Friedrichsruh]....This noble, probably one of the most colourful among Hybrid Teas, has found so many aficionados, that I may well be satisfied. Certainly, it is not for Anyone, one has to be more Roselover than Businessman, and not condemn each rose if it is not a basket and purse-filler. From the viewpoint of the roselover she has an accepted value, even if it is not a market variety like Testout. A nobles horse does not fit in front of a farmland plow and has still its high value. It was exhibited at the time at the Rose show of Jules Gravereaux and received quite high points. As breeder of both roses, I needed to represent my poisition once. Rob. Türke, Meißen
