I've been growing this variety for a couple seasons now, and I have to say I'm quite impressed. I've bought it as a cheap low-quality bare root in a supermarket, it only had two weak canes and a poor root system. I didn't think it would have made it to the end of the summer, but it slowly built a good shrub, which impressively resisted blackspot in my no-spray garden.

I personally don't like its flowers, but I understand why so many people love it. They are really huge, classical high-centered in shape, but with numerous petals. Its color is very bold, a bit too much for my personal taste. Scent is strong. It flowers quite frequently. Flowers have very strong peduncles and are good for cuttings. It does get some spotting, but it looks unbothered by it and does not drop its leaves: that's quite impressive for a 90s hybrid tea!

Nice flower, some scent. Offspring tend to be fragrant. However there is too much bush for the size and quantity of the flowers. Plant grows 6 feet tall and 5 feet wide. Decent bloom in spring and then intermittent blooms later in the year. Requires spraying. Fertile as both a seed and pollen parent.	REPLY

I have a no spray garden---this rose is fungus free. My rose is continuously in bloom as long as I dead head it.	REPLY
