Bush Roses
Feu Joseph Looymans (Pernetiana)... Primrose yellow, the interior is deep dark yellow, overlaid with reddish gold. Very large double flowers. Especially good in Autumn. Makes a large healthy tree. A fine exhibitor's Rose, but not in our opinion one to grow for garden decoration. Highly perfumed. Introduced in 1936.

There is the rose Feu Joseph Looymans (1921) and a good one it is. As the name indicates ("Feu" meaning "the late"), it is a posthumous seedling of P. J. Looymans of Oudenbosch, a nurseryman of the old school, also originator of Elvira Aramayo (1922).
