Not as a Bourbon. There are some scant references to an Alba of this name. Quite suspect.

Thanks, jedmar - I found a catalogue from Soupert&Notting listing an alba under this name. But why should a nursery have brought a new alba rose into commerce in 1870?

It could have been a chance seedling which they found in their nursery and decided to commercialize. Can you post the text from the catalogue (which year, page), so it can be added to the references?
