Origin:
Bred by Hermann Albrecht Hesse (Germany, 1909).
Class:
Hybrid Wichurana, Rambler.  
Bloom:
Light yellow, deep yellow center.  Moderate, apple, fruity, tea rose fragrance.  Average diameter 2.75".  Medium, very double, borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped-to-flat bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, upright.  Large, glossy foliage.  

Height: 9'10" to 19'8" (300 to 600cm).  Width: 10' (305cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Hardy.  very vigorous.  Prune after flowering is finished.
