Bred by Victor Lottin (France, 1918).

Hybrid Multiflora.  
Bloom:
Violet, white stripes.  Very double, cluster-flowered bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Climbing, upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Emile Rocque, landlord in Saint-Servan, previously auctioneer in Avranches, married Marguerite Poulain in 1905 (?)
This rose is possibly the one currently commercialized as 'Bleu Magenta'
