Deep pink to crimson.  Blush-pink with deep rose pink, the guard petals rose red.  Strong, tea fragrance.  46 petals.  Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Spreading.  Glossy, medium green foliage.  

Height: 5' (150cm).  Width: 5' (150cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for beds and borders, garden or shrub.  Vigorous.

The rose identified as Madame de Tartas in commerce in the United States has been identified as Général Tartas. See References.
Général Louis Émile Tartas (1798 - February 25, 1860) took part in several French military expeditions in North Africa, also against Abd-el-Kader in Algeria.
