This is a spent blossom of General Schablikine. It retains a ruffled beauty and the color is richer inside. I cannot recommend Rose Petals Nursery enough as the source for OLD GARDEN ROSES. This plant gave me ZERO problems overwintering in its original container in my uninsulated basement under lights ALL WINTER LONG. No fungus, didn't even lose its leaves. This variety is very disease resistant.

Baby plant overwintered in zone 6b not even a year old. FRAGRANT! A nice one at that. To me many of the Tea roses I purchased have a fragrance that I would describe as "freshness" not necessarily what we would associate with "floral". General Schablikine has a distinct "tropical" floralness to its fragrance. Your mileage may vary but this is a very pleasing scent for me. I love the color and the metallic sheen to the petals. Also this rose has very very well formed flowers and presents beautifully. The flowers on my baby plant last at least 3 days on the plant. Get this one- I got mine from Rose Petals Nursery. They send very good quality plants and they survive and grow very well for me.
