Per Roger Phillips and Maryn Rix in their book ‘Histoire des Roses’, spelling of that rose is ‘Bonny Jean’.

Even the breeder had trouble in making up their minds how to spell it. See the references for their advertisements: 1933 Bonny; 1934 Bonnie; 1935 Bonny; and 1936 Bonnie.
