Bred by Alexander (Sandy) Dickson III (1893-1975) (United Kingdom, before 1932).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1934 as 'Colonel Sharman-Crawford'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Crimson, scarlet center, darker reverse.  Reverse veined darker.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, few or no prickles/thorns, upright, well-branched.  Dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
