MR XI lists this the pollen parent as 'Times Square', which would be the same parentage of (Mrs. Sam McGredy x President Herbert Hoover). The same is true for 'Princess Angeline'.

Thanks Michael.
Both 'Fort Vancouver' and 'Princess Angeline' now show the pollen parent of 'Times Square'.
Always appreciate your contributions.

Always my pleasure! I found this on accident, when looking for more references on the more recent 'Times Square'. But I could not find any references, and I don't own MR XII :[

I grew it once. I know exactly what it is like, but I know nothing of its background.

It is kind of between a polyantha and floribunda in all dimensions. Semi-double. Scarlet w/ silver reverse. Average in everything. No scent. But where did it come from? I bought mine from Certified in like 1997 or so... had it for 3 years. Regret discarding it, because its apparently rare!
