Bloom: Butter-yellow, golden-yellow undertones, carmine-pink edges.  Strong, fruity fragrance.  Average diameter 5".  Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.   
Habit: Few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  Glossy, light green foliage.  
 
Growing: USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .

He was President of the Royal Horticultural Society 1919-28. An apple cultivar raised 1907 by Laxton Brothers was also named "Lord Lambourne". |
