'Ivy May' hips. From 'American Rose Annual' 1935, page 67 p 165. Some remarkable Rose Hips. On January 2 we received a fine New Year's present of some exotic fruits, raised in the garden of Dr. W. J. Boone, Caldwell, Idaho. Because they seemed to be remarkably fine specimens of rose hips, we had a photograph made, which is reproduced facing page 67. Unfortunately, it was necessary to reduce them slightly from natural size. The three hips at the top were taken from the rose 'Chateau de Clos Vougeot, the three in the center from 'Mme. Gregoire Staechelin' and the three at the bottom from the hybrid tea 'Ivy May'
