Origin:
Bred by Barbier Frères & Compagnie (France, 1905).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in before 1911 as 'Jean Guichard'.
Class:
Hybrid Wichurana, Rambler.  
Bloom:
Salmon-pink to carmine-pink.  Vermilion buds.  Average diameter 3".  Medium, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Climbing.  

Height: up to 9'10" (up to 300cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Very vigorous.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
