This is a very vigorous rose that is very disease resistant here in humid Tennessee without spraying. Once she was established, I haven't seen any signs of disease. She will root easily wherever her lax canes touch the ground. She has a light scent that isn't overpowering. No repeat here.

Gosh! "A cold climate living fence"! I wonder if it would repel deer. Also, how cold?

I wonder if this may be 'Superba' -- see below. Also, should this not be merged with "Moser House Shed Rose"?

A poster at the gardenweb suggests that this rose might be the lost 'Anna Marie' by Peirce, bred by Pierce but attributed to Samuel Feast.

It looks similar to Baltimore Belle There also seems to be some confusion about Aennchen von Tharau and Eurydice, but those probably are the lesser candidates, considering APG is found in US?

What I grow as Aennchen von Tharau , supposedly an alba/Ayreshire hybrid, looks in foliage very like an alba, and nothing like APG.
