Martin Hallet, the Town Cryer of St. Alban's in full ceremonial regalia drew the crowds forward to witness the opening of the festival by popular BBC Radio personality Sarah Kennedy. Sarah was later presented with a charming basket of roses named for her 'Sarah's Rose', bred by Rearsby Roses.
