This rose is a survivor. It was planted about 8 years ago at my parents house and has received absolutely no care. It was surrounded by weeds, not pruned, and not fed. It has survived winters that are considered normal, below normal, and above normal for zone 4b both in temperatures and in snow amount. It does die back to the ground but always throws up more shoots and blooms its head off. Bugs and snails have eaten all its leaves off yet it produces more and throws up a few more canes too. Blooms in clusters of about 5-10 throughout the season. Highly recommend if you need a red climber that can take a lot of abuse. This will probably be stunning in more ideal situatios.

To have a snail free yard foliar spray your roses with a macro nutrient product called "maxsea". its a 16-16-16 NPK. Becasue of the salts in the kelp seaweed product the snails run for their lives.
