Bred by Pierre Hubert Portemer fils (France, 1864).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1873 as 'Jean Rosenkrantz'.

Coral-red.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals), cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
