Unfortunately this one was prone to black spot in my Mid Atlantic garden so it was removed. I had hoped with a species rose as a parent that disease resistance would have been better.

The female parent is littered with a lineage that is highly prone to blackspot -- possibly more than one strain. That lineage type was prized for its color, habit, and repeat bloom in their era, which was also an era of chemical usage.

Great observations Michael. I liked the color on this one and was hopeful of using it as a patent with its species parent but BS resistant was nonexistent. I would be happy if I had half your knowledge. :)

haha, thanks. I have never been able to sleep well since I was a teen due to my mind not shutting up, though. I'm always envious of people that can nap whenever they feel like it, lol.
