Bred by Jean Laffay (France, 1835).
Introduced in France by Jean Laffay in 1842 as 'Rose de la Reine'.
Introduced in Australia by Darling Nursery - Historic Archive.(Not open for business) in 1851 as 'Queen'.
Introduced in Australia by Exotic Nursery (Australia) in 1851 as 'La Reine'.
Introduced in France by Eugène Verdier fils aîne in 1868 as 'Reine du Midi'.

Damask Perpetual, Hybrid Perpetual.  

Rose-pink, silver(y) reverse.  Strong fragrance.  78 petals.  Average diameter 5".  Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Leafy sepals buds.  

Few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  Light green foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.  

Height: 3' to 5' (90 to 150cm).  Width: 4' (120cm).

USDA zone 5b and warmer.
