Introduced in Australia by Roy H. Rumsey Pty. Ltd. in 1979 as 'Lavender Jewel'.
Class:
Miniature, Patio.  
Bloom:
Mauve or purple blend.  Flowers medium to deep mauve-lavender.  None to mild fragrance.  38 to 50 petals.  Average diameter 1.5".  Small, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, in small clusters, cupped, exhibition, high-centered, reflexed, rounded bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Short, compact, rounded, well-branched.  Small, semi-glossy, dense foliage.  

Height: 10" to 15" (25 to 40cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b and warmer.  Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower, exhibition or garden.  Hardy.  vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .  Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).  Can be pruned to maintain a shorter habit.

Bloom size when fully open: Small, averaging about 35 mm... Petalage: Double -- averaging about 50 petals... Flower longevity (June 1978): plant in pot 6-8 days or longer. Cut flowers at living room temperature 3-5 days... Hips: None...
