I miss Ray a lot. He was the first hybridizer that I had ever met, soon followed by Jerry Justice. I miss them both. They passed away in the same few years, when I was a teenager. They always showed me all of their fun projects, which was pretty neat at that age, and this rose here was definitely in demand at the time. It was quite unique.

This little gem hybridized by Ray Spooner was introduced to me by Rosaholic's Southern California Garden. Possibly the best cluster blooming single mini. Wonderful color, superb substance, long lasting blooms, outstanding remontancy, and a lovely plant. Stamens are fantastic. Good disease resistance. Great for exhibition particularly in the spray class. Greatly benefits from budding onto a vigorous rootstock such as Pink Clouds. Makes a nice tree rose.

Stunning looking single . I had never heard of this rose. I was looking at JD's listing and the name caught my eye. I wish it was for sale.
