Bred by David L. Armstrong (United States, 1966). Bred by Herbert C. Swim (United States, 1966).
Introduced in United States by Armstrong Roses as 'Lemon Spice'.
Introduced in Australia by Roy H. Rumsey Pty. Ltd. in 1968 as 'Lemon Spice'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Light yellow.  Strong, spice fragrance.  Average diameter 5.5".  Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, exhibition, high-centered to cupped bloom form.  Continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season.  
Habit:
Spreading, upright.  Dark green, leathery foliage.  

Height: 31" to 5' (80 to 150cm).  Width: up to 4' (up to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b and warmer.  Can be used for cut flower, exhibition or garden.  Vigorous.  heat tolerant.  shade tolerant.  Disease susceptibility: disease resistant, very mildew resistant.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
