Yearly membership is only $2.00 per month and adds a host of additional features, and numerous planned enhancements, to take full advantage of the power and convenience of HelpMeFind. Click here to start your premium membership..

We of course also welcome donations of any amount. Click here to make a donation. Donations of $24 or more receive a thank-you gift of a 1-year premium membership.

As far as we have come, we feel HelpMeFind is still in its infancy. With your support we have so much more to accomplish.

Questionable rose identities, exemplified by 'Walküre'....'Walküre' was presented in the "Rosen-Zeitung" under the section "Newest Roses for 1909"....Rudolf Geschwind himself described it likewise in 1884 as one of his "Kletterrosen für den Norden" [Climbers for the North]...
The rose, which attracted our attention by its large, finely formed, mostly solitary, deep pink blooms, whose hardiness and disease resistance convinced us, and which we considered for a long time as 'Walküre', had to be designated as mislabeled after a detailed study of contemporary descriptions...While some of the characteristics described by Rudolf Geschwind such as "especially vigorous shrub, large foliage, glossy...hardy" are quite applicable to this rose, there is no sign of "enormous large clusters, nodding"....
