My plant is rather straight upright 3ft and 1ft wide, always in bloom or bud, 2" blooms that are fully quartered in cooler temps and double in the heat of summer--lots of blooms. Spent blooms hang on forever. This rose was disease-free until Aug...it BSs badly here in Aug/Sept even with some spraying (I try not to spray). Julie Link takes well to full sun here but sulked in any dappled shade.
I have a no spray garden and all the hybrid bracteatas are disease free. No problems with them at all. Only negative them you could ever say about Julie Link is the way she hanges onto blooms weeks after they're done.
New to the garden this year as a small (3 inch) cutting from The Uncommon Rose. I spray my garden so cannot comment on disease susceptibility, however, the plant is very vigorous. I ordered 6 different hybrid bracteatas this year and they all seem to be in perpetual bloom.....never without many flowers and buds ready to open. That 3 inch cutting went from a small rooting pot to a gallon pot to the garden within 5 weeks. The plant right now has been in the garden for a month and is about 12" tall x 18" wide with 8 roses (3") and 6-8 buds getting ready to open when these 8 are done. Seems to be a characteristic of the class......perpetual bloom. Oh, almost forgot......the color is amazing and they smell incredible. Hopefully someone who doesn't spray can comment on the disease resistance.
