Hmm.. 8 years later. I wish I had kept this rose. It had horrible repeat, but I think it would have been a good pollen parent. When Pickering halted sales, many US nurseries closed, and Hortico changed its format, a lot of roses from Europe/UK lost commerce to us here in the US.
Edit: I bought this rose this year, because I missed it. It sent up 2 new basals already, and has been blooming far more than the first one I ever had. However, its also growing in a bed full of mushroom compost, so it may be a super heavy feeder... I'd say 75 blooms this year, and really huge sprays. Like, larger than Playboy's sprays.
Edit 2: Continues to improve. Prolly 50 blooms in the spring's first flush. My old clone must have been a dud, because its nearly identical soil and placement. Or maybe an air pocket. I'll never know.
The peduncles are odd. They have spines. I remember an HT I used to grow a long time ago that also did this -- Chivalry. Maybe it's a hidden bonus of some Peer Gynt kin.

Well, it has been over a year later. I dont think I like this rose because it only wants to bloom twice per growing seasons (May thru September), and doesn't like to send out a lot of new basals. The blooms are nice, and it is healthy, however. HTs with colors similar to this one in my garden, such as Solitaire, Gold Medal or Sunstruck, have far more vigor with similar health.

This rose was new for me this year. I was very excited to grow it. It's is buttery gold with a faint edge of coral. It's a short, stalky grower for an HT. It is well branched, and blooms similarly to something like Caribbean, Kanegem, Kardinal or Remember Me. It has zero disease all year.
