Can someone tell me how this rose performs in hot weather (temps 90 degrees & above)? It looks like a beautiful rose, but it is disappointing when blooms brown and crisp in heat...or quit blooming altogether.

Vigorous as described, canes to about 3 meters. Mine is shaded on all sides and partially from above.

Set brown hips, circa 3 cm in size; mine is thornless.

How would you describe the thorns on "Linnea's Rose"? I'm trying to ID a "mystery rose" and this may be it. Mine is still a baby but is already throwing long canes, which are nearly thornless.

re: Thorns on my Linnea's Rose
The only thorns in evidence are those borne on the central spines of some, but not most, leaflets.

As best as I can remember, this rose was introduced by Rogue Valley Roses in the early 2000s. At that time, viewers of the RVR website were informed that Linnea's Rose was a variety which had been developed by a large rose company and not introduced by them. I believe at that time, either J &P or Bear Creek, or possibly both, had headquarters in Medford, OR, which is quite near to RVR. This information is no longer on the RVR website.

If LR is an unintroduced variety from, eg, J & P, sold to RVR, I don't think it can be considered a found rose.

Very beautiful rose - the kind of perfectly colored and shaped ivory blush rose that makes you think of a bridal bouquet.

Supposed to be very vigorous; mine are growing in a very difficult spot so I have not been able to experience this yet. But I have hopes that with additional compost and mulch mine will eventually take off and fulfill their potential.
