May 17, 2012 After 19 inches of rain, and cool weather this spring, this rose is fresh with no blackspot. The scent is not as strong, and does not waft right now.

I've received a large plant recently from Cliff Orent, of EuroDesert Roses. It has small 1" single blooms with many ribbon like petals. Right now they are a white with a light lilac-pink shading on the edges. The blooms remind you of an aster, or boltonia. I'm going to wait for it to settle into my garden before taking a photo. Our soils are more acid than the west coast, for example a red rose out there is blue-red here, and an orange rose is a pink-coral.
August 15, 2011 The blooms are held in clusters at the ends and start a pale pink, darkening slightly, and then fading to white. It must have some China in it's background.
Hot 100F weather doesn't seem to faze it, but it only seems fragrant when the humidity it just right. No blackspot, and no mildew even with muggy overnights of 65-80F. The scent is not strong, about half of what Marie Daly has, but it does waft. With thin canes, it does have small thorns, it's a very pretty 'fairylike' rose.
