It looks as though Ken Nobbs first named this rose 'Sarah Fairburn'.
By 1986 he was calling it 'Billie Shepherd', and then by 1993 he registered it as 'Billie and Lew'.
This last one is a lovely name. Does anybody know the story behind it (apart from Jocelen's caption to his photo).
