‘Blanche Lafitte’/’Melle Blanche Lafitte’ = Bourbon.
Et pour fixer l'espèce que l'on se détermine;

Approximate translation
The variety Blanche Laffitte has flowers sometimes in high corymbs, medium or small, full and of a slightly meaty white; and, according to the classification it contains in the catalogs of the renowned rose growers, it would be an almost semi-sarmentous variety of the Bourbon Island rose, put on the market by M. Pradel in 1851.
.... But in the presence of such great contradictions between prominent rosierists about the classification of this last rose, and without doubting any way about the rosy knowledge of our colleague from Lyon, we wanted however to judge for ourselves ed visu , our memories being a little confused about the value of the specific characters of Blanche Laffitte. But,
The examination completed, we must opine,
And to fix the species that is determined;
Let's say his opinion in a clear way,
If Blanche Laffitte is Bourbon or Noisette.
We did not have to hesitate, the characteristic marks are quite sliced in this plant so that, at first glance, we recognize in it a noisette almost pure.
