...Un second [groupe], très voisin [à la groupe Safrano à fleurs rouges] sand doute métissé par un Rosa Chinensis quelconque, a une carnation intermédiare entre les deux races et le faciès différent des variétés ci-dessus: ses caractères spécifiques sont: tiges dressées, rigides, lisses; aiguillons épars assez forts; pédoncule moyen, plutôt ferme; calice ovoïde, élevé en entonnoir; feuillage presque rigide vert foncé luisant, folioles larges oblongues; acicules prédominantes sous le pédicelle; fleurs grandes, pleine, presque sans parfum; pétales larges, arrondis; coloris des variétés produites, variant du blanc légèrement nuancé au rouge vif, éclairé de jaune à la base des pétales, comme Duchess of Edinburgh, Baronne M. de Tornaco, Fiametta Nabonnand, Isaac Demole, Papa Gontier, Professeur d'Andrée, Rainbow.

Fiametta Nabonnand (Nabonnand), weisse Papa Gontier gennant, ist jedoch nicht reinweiss, sondern ins gelbliche übergehend, Blume gross, jedoch etwas schwachholzig, übertrifft Papa Gontier durch ihre herrliche Farbe, schöne Form und Grösse. Gleich gut als Treib- sowie Gruppenpflanze.
Translation: Fiametta Nabonnand (Nabonnand), also called weisse Papa Gontier, is not pure white, but shaded yellow, flower is large, but somewhat weak-stemmed, surpassed Papa Gontier with its gorgeous golor, beautiful form and large size. Equally good for forcing or as a bedding rose.
