Grown in zone 5b NH. Very hardy and vigorous once established. Spectacular first flush, after which it completely defoliates from black spot. I would not recommend in a humid climate.

Moore did live in a hot and dry climate. I think his climbing minis are some of his best introductions, but I hesitate to try them in BS central.

It’s a wonderful rose amd will remain in my garden as one of the few that I’m willing to spray with fungicide. I also grow Red Cascade which is equals or exceeds Magic Dragon in bloom production and has been remarkably BS resistant for me.

This is one of the few roses offered for sale by Woodlanders Nursery in Aiken, SC. They describe it as trouble free".
