Mission Bells (H.T.) is a very, very lovely shade of deep glowing salmon pink. Intensely fragrant, the long pointed, well-shaped exquisite buds are borne on straight, practically thornless stems, rather inclined to be willowy, with attractive foliage. The blooms opened rather quickly to large, full, high-centred flowers of a beautiful clear shrimp pink hue showing veined petals which had a sort of fluted effect. Though rather loose and informal, the blooms held very well, and should prove ideal for the home and the garden. The plant is very vigorous and strong, so far, resistant to disease.

p143.  Dr. A. S. Thomas.  A Victorian View of the New Roses.
Mission Bells: A deep pink with a lot of promise. The high centred flowers resemble Charlotte Armstrong in colour.
