Unfortunately, with Vintage Gardens' demise, this rose seems to be out of commerce.

Does anyone have cuttings of 'Monet' (the mauve blend, not the apricot blend JAClion that was renamed 'Grand Impression')? My plant died, and I'd like to grow it again. Thank you!

I saw Monet in Walmart as bare root rose. You may want to check your local Walmart garden center to see if you can find any if you still interested.

I have had this rose for two years, and it will only bloom in bright, deep red. Is there any type of fertilzer or other treatment you recommend to return it to its true color?

Sometimes roses are labelled incorrectly. Monet should be a shaded apricot so if the rose you have is blooming red then it isn't a Monet. The other possibility is that the under stock has taken over as it is often a red colour but the flowers will be small.

If she's looking for the apricot blend 'Monet', it's been renamed 'Grand Impression' (hypidizer's code JAClion)...I think it was renamed the year after it was introduced.
If she's looking for the one that remained named 'Monet', then it's a mauve blend rose that has a very old-fashioned form and an intense fragrance.
The problem is that with Vintage Gardens' demise, 'Monet' seems to be out of commerce. Great Western is not in Pomona but in Surprise, AZ, and they're looking for it for me...but so far no luck.

Jennifer, Most likely you have a rose mis-marked as Monet. This happens quite frequently with a rose such as this, which can only be purchased from discount mail order companies. Next time you have the opportunity to purchase this, buy a few of them so you end up with a correct version.

The "Buy From" tab is not hi-lighted, meaning there are no current vendors for this rose. Keep an eye on EBAY starting in mid May, and I'll have a few for sale there.

Michael,
I have edited the rose name to include the introducer's name.

I am in the process of building some links, but I will not be ready until probably mid May. I'll let you know when Monet is ready, and a link to the site.
