‘Ave Maria’/KORav/’Sunburnt Country’ = Hybride de Thé… riche orange saumoné de ses élégants boutons se mue en rose orangé avivé de rouge corail sur ses fleurs à larges pétales, au cœur turbiné, agréablement parfumées… excellentes fleurs à couper… La remontée est bonne ainsi que la résistance à la pluie. Le buisson est vigoureux et droit, le feuillage ample et vert foncé. Kordes Allemagne 1981. ‘Uwe Seeler’ x ‘Sonia’.

Sunburnt Country (Kordes Korav). This rose will carry the name 'Ave Maria' by the raiser, but as several nurseries including ourselves, are still growing this, we have had to re-name this cultivar. We were asked to give it a typically Australian name! Colour is very much like 'Ave Maria' and best described as burnt orange with deeper shades. However there are forty petals and it is a much firmer bloom, with good form. Fragrant, and with very good foliage.
