Clematis Eriostemon (Woolly-Stamened Clematis).  N. America.  1852.  3 feet.  Flowers bluish-violet, peduncles three-flowered.  Syns. C. divaricata; C. Hendersoni (of gardens).
The leaves of this species are generally pinnate, the two or three pairs of segments are dark green and oval, the lateral ones being entire, while the terminal ones are irregularly three-lobed.
