Introduced in United States by Carlton Rose Nurseries, Inc. Archive in 1994 as 'Purple Rain'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Mauve or purple blend.  Moderate fragrance.  24 to 30 petals.  Average diameter 4.5".  Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Medium, few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  Medium, semi-glossy, dark green, leathery foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.  

Height: 4½' to 5' (135 to 150cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Notes:
Carlton Rose Nursery says this rose is lavender with a pink tint. It has great fragrance and it grows like a shorter grandiflora.
